Friedrich Building - thanks for the memories

Last year's SA48HR Film Experience was headquartered, and featured the historic Friedrich Building, home for more than 50 years to the Friedrich Refrigeration Company, at 1617 East Commerce St, in Downtown San Antonio

Abandoned, and left for the wrecking ball, this classic structure of more than 400,000 sq ft was rescued in 1999 by developer Eugene Simor and his partners. Slated for massive renovation beginning in 2007, the SA48HR Film Experience documented in a unique way, ten distinct portions of the building prior to reconstruction.
